Transcend launched aXeRam, 4GB DDR3-2400 dual-channel memory kits for Intel Core i7 processor based systems.

Each 4GB DDR3 kit contains two identically matched modules offering theoretical memory bandwidth up to 38.4GBps. The DDR3 memory kits are XMP-ready and boost system performance with a clock speed of 2400MHz at 1.65V.

“In practice, the 2400MHz clock speed shows a 60 percent performance increase in real world applications compared to standard 1333MHz memory, allowing overclocking enthusiasts and hardcore gamers to take their Intel Core i7 platform to the next level,” said Gordon Wu, Regional Head, South Asia, Transcend.

The kits have been tested for use on Intel P55-based motherboards, including Asus P7P55D Premium and Asus P7P55D Deluxe. They use aluminum heat sinks with cooling fins for over clocking performance. The kits’ modules comprise 128Mx8 high-quality DDR3 FBGA chips and use PCBs that comply with JEDEC (Joint Electron Device Engineering Council) standards.

Priced at `14,000, the kits come with a lifetime warranty. They are available through distributors Supertron and Mediaman.
