Bro..Apart from few million dollar loss in revenue,TN could be marked as 'Bad for Business" as its not a flood

It may be ur words Bro

As i told In my previous reply chennai alone declared as holiday but u stated whole Tamil nadu is bad for Business. chennai is not a whole tamilnadu. its just one of the district of the state do u know that bro ??

As i Told earlier abt chennai geographic reason but u didnt touch that topic only bashing govt order and degrading whole tamilnadu state

So its better to close the conversation

I got SMS to Work from Home, but I had already left for office in my Bike by then. Later today afternoon our HR sent a mail stating Our Chennai Office day shift Operations are closed by 5pm today and we all left early today.

I went through all posts in the thread and both arguments are valid. Flood and related issues we face in Chennai today, Govt asking Companies to declare holiday is valid, on the other hand this indeed creates a bad impression for Chennai in the Corporate circles. And Chennai is the face of Tamilnadu.

Govt shouldn't interfere in pvt companies just for these type of things.

@Gobinaath bro.Sorry if it's hurts you.By TN ,I intending to mean it's Govt.You missed a basic point that I made.Govt can request|advice not order a private company.

And I am done too in this conversation.

Bro for drainage system u have too Know the geographical area of chennai ok
there is nothing wrong with geographical area of chennai..
The main problem is a bad drainage or zero drainage system in the city..

Nd another main problem is encroachment in the city.. Real Estate mafia is ruling the city.. Everything goes by their way.. All dried ponds, wetlands were taken over by Real estate mafia.. Water has no place to go..
Last year Chennai has suffered much.. If it was a good governing body in TN, they should have made a good drainage system by now.. If they really value their people. But we all know what TN Ministers are capable of. The had a long 1 year gap for this.. But nothing as done.. Don't even thought abt it.

What ever happened in Chennai due to rain or floods it is 100% man-made disaster..

I would agree 1 more point in one of the above posts.. Definitely this will create a bad impression for Chennai in IT Sector. Even last time many companies has lost many projects due to floods.

First of all, govt didn't order but adviced the pvt companies only. My company was working yesterday and even they are sending updates in email saying they are operational. But within our project, we decided to work from home. Still few employees living near office and not having provision to work from home were working from office yesterday.
