Mid season breaks are the most annoying, I guess Netflix has started this trend with Stranger things and Manifest. All OTTs are using it to retain subscribers for longer.

Akhiri Sach is anyway a weekly show... It's gonna drop episodes every week as opposed to wait for months together to drop two halves of a single season.

It's still much better than waiting for new season for years. Take Made in Heaven. First season started in 2019. Next season released in 2023.
