In their first meeting, after the demise of former Tamil Nadu CM J Jayalalithaa , the Tamil Nadu cabinet on Saturday passed a resolution to recommend to the Centre to confer Bharat Ratna on Jayalalithaa. The cabinet passed several other resolutions that they adopted in their meeting. It moved a resolution to request the Central government to install a bronze statue inside the Parliament campus, among others.

In the meeting the members of the cabinet decided to build a memorial for Jayalalithaa, the cost of which was calculated at Rs 15 crore. They also passed a resolution to rename ‘MGR memorial’ to ‘Bharat Ratna Dr MGR and Jayalalithaa memorial’.

New Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu O Panneerselvam, who assumed office following the death of J Jayalalithaa, held a cabinet meeting at the State Secretariat. Panneerselvam adopted a resolution to accord formal sanction for a suitably impressive memorial for Jayalalithaa.

Is this kind of joke ? Bharatratna for what and why ? Did she do anything Noble to people ?

Don't know is it is viable demand or not but firstly let her soul to be rest in peace.

Don't know why these politicians always do unnecessary non sense, there is a lot of time to demand and discuss such issues. In the very first meeting instead of filling the vacant space, making strategy for implementation of Amma's plans for the betterment of society these guys are discussing other issues.

A deadman isn't dead in politics. It's a new tool to attract voters called sympathy votes And everything is fair in politics if you can attract voters.
