The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is the national governing body for cricket in India. The board was formed in December 1928 as a society, registered under the Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act.

It is a national governing body , not a private concern.

First of all wiki not a authorize source .. Yes BCCI National Governing body means under control of Indian Government :k .. There is a huge difference btw National Governing body & National body :k ..
  • Ex: In our country , There is two type Teaching institutions are there
  • Govt institution
  • Govt aided institution
so can you able to tell Govt aided institution are run by govt. :huh .. Certainly not itz private only :k ..

Govt aided institution is not run by private.
For ex: Govt . aided schools, Salary for the teachers will come from state govt. by the that school charity trust or any o ther private ppl

Ya.. BCCI not fully come under / controlled by Govt, but it is not a private concern like Reliance or TATA etc.

Br I have just one question. All Government or Government aided institutions are set up under some Government act. Now as you posted the link which clearly states that it is registered as a society. So how does it become Govt Institute? And that too under particular state Govt though it's representing so called Govt of India?

Its a national matter and its indian national team

i dont think its a private matter
True but that team isn't selected by people of India through Govt. It's selected by businessmen of large corporate houses and I am sure on recommendation basis instead of talent Example Dhawan

First of all those are giving salary of Tax money of India people is call it as Public body (govt organisation) other are private only .. BCCI not giving salary to their employee from Tax money of people in India :k so itz a private ..
