Renowned Bollywood filmmaker Subash Ghai will conduct a workshop for students of Punjabi University's Centre for Advanced Media Studies (CAMS) shortly.Subash Ghai will conduct the workshop on a mutually agreed convenient date during the next semester starting in July.

Famous for blockbusters like Hero, Khalnayak, Karma, Saudagar, Pardes and Taal, Ghai made the commitment during his meeting with CAMS Director Gurmeet Singh Maan in Chandigarh where he had come to promote his latest ventures--Love Express and Cycle Kick.

The celebrated showman is the latest to join the team of CAMS advisory board with Oscar awardee lyricist Gulzar, noted Bollywood actors Om Puri, Raj Babbar and celebrated cinematographer Manmohan Singh.

Dr Maan told mediapersons that Subash Ghai had also agreed in principle to enter into a suitable collaboration between CAMS and his film school, Whistling Woods International (WWI) in Mumbai with respect to training programmes, internships, faculty and student exchange programmes.

''We talked about the possible tie-up between CAMS and WWI on the pattern of collaboration between CAMS and Wilkes University, Pennsylvania, the USA, according to which the BA and B Tech students of CAMS could spend the last year of their studies with WWI,'' Dr Maan said.
