Jaipur: Parents of students from the state studying at National Institute of Technology (NIT), Srinagar, are in a state of fear due the tension prevailing at the institute. Nearly 300 students enrolled in NIT are from Rajasthan.Reports suggest that more than a dozen students from the state were injured in the baton-charge by the police late on Tuesday. The students were said to be participating in protests against celebrations by Kashmiri students following India's defeat in the T20 World Cup semi-finals on March 30. TOI spoke to some students there over the phone. They said they were being threatened by the locals.
