Imminent?

The Man Called Sting has been added to one of the panel events for the week leading up to SummerSlam. While he is still appearing at WWE events as a representative of Mattel, the two parties are visibly interested in making a deal happen. With all the toys, T-Shirts and other potential merchandise in the future, as well as the exciting WWE 2K15 campaign (offering both black-and-white Sting as well as his original blonde "surfer" character as playable characters to those who preorder the video game),fans have to wonder if their dreams are about to come true. Will the WCW legend finally step into Vince McMahon's ring? Is a match with the Undertaker imminent?

Yes, yes, it's the big running gag of the year: is Sting's return to wrestling imminent? Will he get to wrestle Undertaker? Would the match look good at all? Well, yes or no, fans will likely get those answers in due time. Now that the Stinger is doing business with ×WWE, it seems likely that he will eventually sign a performance contract

For now, though, fans will just have to settle for a Q&A and a photo-op (via Cage Side Seats):

"In addition to speaking about their respective ×WWE careers, the panelists will reveal the official roster for 2K's upcoming ×WWE 2K15 video game, which is available October 28. VIP Ticket holders will receive their photo opportunity with Roman Reigns for this SummerSlam Panel."

Of course, technically, until a deal is struck the two sides may as well be miles apart (via Sports World News):

"It has been a long ongoing struggle for the WWE and Sting to reach an agreement as fans and wrestlers have heard of Sting potentially joining the WWE in January and the two sides are still stuck in the same place they were when word originally dropped that the two would strike a deal."
