DDCA gets temporary permission to hold Ind vs SA fourth Test
In a respite to The Delhi and District Cricket Administration (DDCA), Delhi High Court on Wednesday paved way for them to hold the India vs South Africa fourth Test match. The court also directed South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) to issue provisional occupancy certificate to the DDCA.
HC also appointed Justice Mukul Mudgal to oversee the affairs of fourth India-South Africa's Test match.
Delhi HC in its observation said, "We don't want to penalize the people and players by not holding the match."
DDCA moved High Court on Tuesday with a plea seeking a direction to South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) over issuing a provisional occupancy certificate (POC) to hold the international match at Ferozshah Kotla stadium.
While the match is scheduled to be held from December 3 to December 7, DDCA has sought POC from December 1 to 10.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had formed a three-member committee to probe complaints of financial irregularities and wrong-doings in the state association and did come out with a report on Tuesday.
The panel report recommended that the BCCI should suspend DDCA and a commission of inquiry should probe the alleged irregularities in the body.
