South Africa fast bowler Dale Steyn will miss the upcoming Test series in England as he continues his rehabilitation after a shoulder surgery. The 33-year-old bowler, who last played in Perth against Australia last November, was set to play for South Africa A and prove his fitness ahead of the team selection for the four-Test series in England, but has now opted out of it.
"My recovery is going well but it is taking a little longer than I expected it to. I am able to do a lot of things, like running, hiking and gym work, but bowling is not one of them, and I won't be ready in time," Steyn said at the CSA Annual Awards Dinner on Saturday (May 13).
