Bro I meant Youtube interface, features, streaming is all above these new streaming apps. A few years back, they all were using only Youtube to upload their contents for free or with charges. So with Youtube still available they could have carried on that way. That is what I meant :) Even now some channels upload their shows on youtube with some delay or upload 5 min clips to promote their apps :p

When you upload something on youtube you have to share ad revenue with them but if you create your own app then all revenue is yours

Sony LIV is no where close to Hotstar, Amazon Prime or even Voot. I enjoy almost all streaming apps except Sony LIV. Even Sun NXT is far better. And OZEE (now ZEE5) is the only other worst ever app apart from Sony LIV. But wonder why everyone created a seperate streaming app when theres Youtube which is way better than each of these apps. Hotstar started this trend which is copied by all other rivals.
not hotstar, live streaming introduced by espn for football and nba. also they started an app for mobile too during the time of nokia n70.

Of all the Indian apps, people have a good opinion of only Hotstar and Voot. The others are not up to the mark. Amazon Prime is not an Indian app.
