So with Youtube still available they could have carried on that way. When you upload something on youtube you have to share ad revenue with them but if you create your own app then all revenue is yours

not hotstar, live streaming introduced by espn for football and nba. also they started an app for mobile too during the time of nokia n70.

Of all the Indian apps, people have a good opinion of only Hotstar and Voot. The others are not up to the mark. Amazon Prime is not an Indian app.
