Rest assured their coverage will be better than Star. Only issue is during IPL which I hope they will launch additional channel and also use other network channels to show the evening matches.

Star used to show cricket highlights instead of showing live games.

with this they'll get French Open rights which will increase Sony Market shares :tup Only Tennis is unavailable with Sony as compare to other sports networks. in addition they'll get some few other events also

by launching a new channel will make them to bought new rights which will difficult for them like Kix

Neo has rights for French Open only till next year. Sony won't buy Neo.

Neo's fate lies in the arbitration they are fighting with BCCI. They are claiming 4200 crores from them. That will be decided by September although appeal can still go ahead. If they win, Neo will be back in the sports game. If not everyone knows what will happen.

Sony will go independent and given Star focus only on India oriented sports like the leagues they have, it seems Sony will be the sports network to watch for international sports only.
