Sony Ericsson (SE) has unveiled the Xperia arc S, which is touted to deliver 25% faster multimedia performance than the Xperia arc. The smartphone runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) platform.
The phone features a 1.4 GHz CPU, coupled with 512 MB RAM. Its 4.2" screen has pixel dimensions of 854x480, and is protected by toughened mineral glass. The onboard 8.1 MP camera is capable of recording videos at 720p. Other specs include HDMI Out, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, USB OTG (On the Go), 3.5 mm jack, microSD card slot. According to Sony, its 1500 mAh battery offers talk-time of up to 7 hours and 25 minutes. The phone measures 4.9" (l) x 2.5" (w) x 0.3" (d), and weighs in at 117 grammes.
