We have reached a point in time where some Jio employees are intentionally damaging existing JioFiber (optical fiber) infrastructure to compel people to opt for the mediocre AirFiber, even if they don't want to. This situation is widespread, and I've heard similar reports from people across the city and other areas as well. 😩

A few weeks back, I noticed that Jio technicians (so-called engineers) visited my locality, performed some maintenance, and then left 3-4 FAT boxes open. As it's the rainy season, I quickly informed the local Jio office team. They requested photos (proof) to share with the O&M (operations & maintenance) team before visiting the area to close the boxes. Fortunately, I had taken photos and shared them. Within a few days, they came and closed the FAT box doors. Up to this point, I still believed it was merely a mistake and not intentional.

I didn't expect my turn would be next. Until yesterday, some individuals wearing blue color Jio t-shirts came, opened the Jio FAT box on the pole in front of my house, and left it open, just like the others. This happened despite my informing them about the recent incident with the other FAT boxes being left open. They spoke in a friendly manner, telling me that some nearby FAT boxes on our streets were damaged or not working, and they were there to check the power and other components in this one. I believed them, but I didn't realize they would deliberately leave this box open too. Today, when I saw the box door in an open state, I was stunned. 😵

Honestly, Jio is digging its own grave by pushing its employees for more incentives against AirFiber. ☠️

So they are vandalising a permanent / long term solution in order to facilitate the growth of an interim solution. This is gonna cost them more than benefiting them.

Suffering from success? What are they even doing? I heard that Jio is massively promoting AirFiber, but don’t they understand it’s no match for optical fiber? Jio needs to take strict action against such employees. They've heavily invested in XPON OLTs, tower equipment, and infrastructure, installing poles and laying fiber in areas where it wasn't previously available to build a reliable fiber network.

Target completion of Airfiber might just be the reason that the houses on the other side of the street have jio fiber but the houses on my side of the street don't even though I saw empty FAT boxes and some of them seems to be toally brand new. Also, as I mentioned in another post in this forum, C6 device has already started showing its limitations even in a comparatively less populated area like mine. These days even during late night can't even get 5-6mbps upload speed. Limitations of WiFi 5.
