Samsung introduces the Galaxy S7 Edge Olympic Edition in order to honor the RIO 2016 Olympic Games in Brazil. This special edition of Galaxy S7 Edge has the same specifications of a normal Galaxy S7 Edge except some appealing changes in the outer looks of the phone.
The Galaxy S7 Edge Olympic Edition has some alluring appearance. On the front of the phone, the ear speaker grill along with the sides of the home button is of yellow color. The volume keys are of green color while the power button is red. While on the back of the phone, the trims around the camera and flash are of blue color along with Olympic logo at the bottom of the phone. The rest of the phone is in black color. This custom colorway pattern used by Samsung portrays the five official colors of the Olympic Rings.
These five colors are also used in the phone’s user interface in the home and lock screens as well as the message, dial and contact screens and notification bar. The Galaxy S7 Edge Olympic Edition also comes with pre-installed official Olympic apps along with RIO 2016 themes.
This is a limited edition and Samsung will provide 12,500 units of the Galaxy S7 Edge Olympic Edition to the 12,500 Olympians taking part in the RIO Olympics 2016. Users of the Samsung must not disappoint as Samsung is also giving a chance by manufacturing limited number of this edition for its customers to get their hands on.
Samsung is offering only 2016 units of
Galaxy S7 Edge Olympic Edition and will be available in selected countries including Brazil, the United States, China, Germany and Korea. The official price of the Galaxy S7 Edge Olympic Edition is $850.
This is not the first time Samsung is taking part in the Olympic games. The bond between Samsung and Olympics stretches back to the early 90’s. Samsung being the official worldwide partner of RIO 2016 Olympics, also have launched the official advertisement of RIO 2016 Olympic games titled as “The Anthem”.
