NEW DELHI: Skoda India, an auto manufacturer, has unveiled a new edition of its premium sedan Laura in India, which is priced at Rs 15.49 lakh. The firm has unveiled the new car - Laura RS - with a 1.8-litre petrol engine that will be giving a mileage of 13.4-km per litre of fuel according to Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) conditions.
Mr Tarun Jha, Marketing Head of Skoda India, said, “The Laura has a huge fan following in India. We have launched this new edition for those who are car enthusiasts and like performance. The sedan will be based on Fabia platform and it will be launched in both petrol and diesel variants.” This car is specifically for the 'Laura lovers' and the firm is not eyeing for big sales numbers from this car.
About the dealership expansion plans, Mr Jha has stated that presently, the firm is operating 81 outlets and it will grow to 100 by the end of this year. The firm will unveil a new sedan car by the end of this year.
The interior of the car has got sporty Alcantara leather seats along with lateral support and an RS emblem set the tone for the interiors
