There's one major flaw with Signal.

When you reset your phone and don't have a backup, it won't allow you to restore your SMSs inside the app, which were restored during phone setup on your phone.

As a unified interface for all messaging purposes. My trust in Google ecosystem is evaporating. So I'm on the lookout for alternatives.

Simply put, Signal is not allowing to import existing SMSs into the signal app.

For SMS, I prefer SMS Organizer (by M$, I think), mainly for the OTP message in notification and bank SMS shown in single thread...
