Sign Up Petition The Average Indian Needs Affordable Internet Access

Why do Indians want every thing for free or cheap? Why not let the market decide the prices? We are a free economy and not a communist / autocratic state. We need basic things in India first.
I am surprised this Amit Bhawani is writing this petition.... he booked a tesla car (one of may be 1 or 2 people who booked from India on launch day) and says he is average Indian. If he is "average" Indian, then are 99.999% indians worse than poor?

Bro in my view Internet is also one of the basic need now a days...

And, Amit Bhawani is thinking about all, not about individual. So, it would be good someone don't figure out his way instead of supporting him. Bcoz, he's not earning something from this petition.

I agree with electricity part by techmaina. By lowering the costs of it Indian people can live a better life with all technology needs. They can spend more on other things by saving some bucks on electronic appliances.

Power supply also needs to be improved. The voltage is very low in some areas that a even stabilizer can not do its job. Power cut is another issue.

These things should be solved before lowering data costs.

Strange Government just declare that India is electricity surplus country so we hv exported excess electricity to our neighbours country

@Sarkar agree with you but govt have sufficient electricity but, don't supply to us don't know why? There are many plants in India itself to produce electricity in Rajasthan, Gujrat, etc.

Its because there are politicians involved. The major problems are loss, theft, and uneven distribution.
And because of politics of appeasement and convenience, these problems dont get fixed. The govt servants will work properly only if the political bosses want things to get better. Else, every one in government service is happy to eat and sleep at work. No accountability, no threat of job loss, no performance, easy promotions at entry and mid level (now even quota for promotions), and pay and get policy (pay for promotion and get it- for higher level officers), and then even guaranteed pay rise for every one...

Sorry for sounding too disappointed, but the reality is that we need to drain the swamp of corruption from top to bottom to get things working properly in the country.
