Just over a week back, Australian all-rounder Shane Watson slammed a hundred against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in a must win game for Rajasthan Royals (RR). RR qualified for the playoffs but failed to win the first eliminator. Watson, who left for West Indies following his franchise’s exit from the competition, is now back home in Australia for the birth of his daughter, Matilda Victoria.

Watson, 33, and Lee, 29, became parents for the second time. The couple have a two-year old son Will. In January this year, the couple who reside in Sydney, announced that they were expecting a second child.

The aggressive opener, who led the RR-side, earlier in the tournament, took to his official Twitter account to express his glee, “Home in the nick of time to see my beautiful baby girl, Matilda Victoria Watson, enter the world. Mum and Bub are flying #explosionoflove.”
