Shane Jurgensen, who played for
Queensland, has been appointed New
Zealand bowling coach for the T20 WC
in India next month and the tour to
Zimbabwe and South Africa, New
Zealand Cricket announced on
Wednesday (February 17).

Lindsay Crocker, head of cricket at New
Zealand Cricket, felt Jurgensen's
experience of working in the sub-
continental conditions will help the
team. "He has experience in sub-
continental conditions working with
pace bowlers and spinners, which
should be valuable for both the T20
WC and the dry conditions expected on
the twin tours to Africa at the back
end of their winter," said Crocker.
"Shane is well known to the group; is
married to a New Zealander and has
strong New Zealand connections."
Former Queensland pacer worked with
New Zealand in 2008 and 2010 and
acknowledged that he's looking
forward to working with the team
again. Read More: Shane Jurgensen appointed New Zealand bowling coach - Cricbuzz
