With its latest announcement of the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, Samsung has quite a few tablet offerings in the market and up its sleeve. You can start counting with the (8.9-inch) Galaxy Tab 730 and (10.1-inch) Galaxy Tab 750 that have already been released, last year’s (7-inch) Galaxy Tab that is still floating around, and the (7.7-inch) Galaxy Tab 7.7 that is due soon.
The newly announced Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus is expected to release in few territories by the end of October, and soon after internationally. No pricing has been revealed yet though. Samsung has however, revealed the specifications in sufficient detail:
The Android 3.2 Honeycomb-based Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus bears a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, and a 7-inch (1024x600) WSVGA PLS display. Bearing a 4,000 mAh battery, the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus weighs in at 345 grams, and measures 9.96 mm at its thinnest. The Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus has both 3G (21Mbps HSPA) and Wi-Fi (802.11 a/b/g/n with channel bonding for 2X speed, and Wi-Fi Direct) connectivity, apart from quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE and Bluetooth v3.0. The device also supports voice and video calls without a headset.
The Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus will be available in two variants – 16GB and 32GB, and in grey and white colours. Other specifications include a 3MP rear autofocus camera with LED flash capable of 720p HD video recording, and a 2MP front-facing camera.
