Here is good news for Samsung fans. The company in India has slashed the price of its flagship smartphone Galaxy S III and the famous Phablet Galaxy Note II.
Samsung Galaxy S III is now available in official retail stores across the country for Rs. 28,990 with discount of almost 34% to the price it was launched. And the Galaxy Note II is now retailing for Rs. 34,990, which is almost 13% less than its launch price.
Galaxy S III is one of the most popular high-end phones in India. The phone comes with a 4.8 inch display and is powered by a 1.4GHz Quad Core processor with 1 GB RAM. It has functions such as S beam, S voice, and buddy photo share that are introduced for the first time. Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, dual core processor, and a strong 8 megapixel add glamour to the phone.
Within seven months of its launch, Samsung revealed that it had sold over 30 million units and it became the best selling phone in the United States.
Samsung Galaxy Note II, the successor to the Galaxy Note was launched in India last September at price of Rs. 39,990. The device witnessed great success with 3 million units sale in first five weeks of its launch. Galaxy note II is now available at price of Rs. 34,990 which is almost 13% less to its launch price.
Galaxy note II features an 8 megapixel rear camera and 1.9 megapixel front Camera. Like its predecessor Galaxy Note, the phablet comes with the S Pen stylus for taking notes on the device. It offers 4G, 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, NFC, USB 2.0 and Bluetooth 4.0 as connectivity options. It sports a 5.5 inch Super AMOLED HD display and is powered by a 1.6GHz Quad Core processor and 2 GB RAM. It has a powerful 3100 mAh battery and has 16GB internal storage expandable up to 64 GB using microSD card.
Both, Galaxy S III and Note II proved profitable and best sellers for Samsung last year.
