Samsung Galaxy S8 is by far one of the biggest success stories of 2017. The device not only quashes the bad memories of Note 7 but also marks a new benchmark with a beautifully crafted infinity display and a number of mind-boggling capabilities. The class of a Galaxy S device never went unnoticed, but this one is taking the bar higher than ever. People are loving their new Galaxy, and have already started speculating on the next member of the family, the Galaxy S9.

@Sai bro, it's too early to discuss S9. There'll be lot of speculations on web on this device. It won't be released until next year Feb at a minimum. For now, I'm closing the thread and we can either open it at a later point of time or a new thread.

Samsung Electronics’ next flagship smartphone Galaxy S9 is highly likely to debut earlier than usual, possibly in January, The Bell reported on Aug. 31.

The report said Samsung Display’s OLED panel shipments will start in November, two months in advance of the current S8 whose display shipments started in January this year before the phone’s unveiling in March.

Two separate Galaxy S9 firmware are being developed, G960FXXU0AQI5 and G965FXXU0AQI5. The model numbers of Samsung’s next flagship smartphones have therefore been confirmed as well. The Galaxy S9 will be SM-G960 while the Galaxy S9+ will be SM-G965.
