Samsung's dual-SIM smartphone, Samsung Galaxy Pocket Neo is now available through online retailer Infibeam for Rs. 7,130.
Samsung Galaxy Pocket Neo comes with a 3-inch touchscreen TFT LCD display. The device is powered by an 850MHz processor alongside 512MB of RAM. There is 4GB of internal storage available on the smartphone that is expandable up to 32GB through a microSD card. Other specifications for the smartphone include a 2-megapixel rear camera, 1200mAh battery, Bluetooth 4.0, USB 2.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n and A-GPS. It runs on the Android Jelly Bean OS and Samsung's TouchWiz UI. On the sensor front, the phone sports an accelerometer and a digital compass.
The 3-inch device was officially announced with the Samsung Galaxy Star in April. However, the Galaxy Star was launched ahead of the Galaxy Pocket Neo earlier in May. The device was tagged as the cheapest Galaxy smartphone in the market priced at Rs. 5,240. Looking at the listing of Pocket Neo, it seems that the device though still in the budget segment will surely be priced more than the Galaxy Star. The major difference between the two happens to be the presence of 3G on the Samsung Galaxy Pocket Neo vis-a-vis only 2G (EDGE) connectivity on the Samsung Galaxy Star. Apart from that, where the device lags behind would be its 850MHz processor, which is less powerful when compared to Galaxy Star's 1GHz processor. The Samsung Galaxy Pocket Neo might be perhaps a prospective device for users looking for a dual-SIM budget Galaxy with 3G support.
