my friends J series Samsung phone bought in 2018 still running properly. another friend's S8 phone still runs properly though battery life is only for some hours - he enabled dark screen mode it helped save to some extent battery. may be i guess its related to software updates it might cause problems by some extent due to unoptimized properly for battery optimization & apps, cache. my friends enable battery saver mode in j series phone.

I think if we maintain it properly then it won't have much problem for few years for sure. or maybe earlier they used to manufacture of standard quality nowadays they don't do it with that perfection as earlier when they were new.

I am having an old J2 which we had bought for my younger brother 5 years ago. It's still works fine. My earlier J7 prime also in a working condition.
I never even heard of such motherboard issue before.

It would have been okay if 1 amongst 1000 was facing the issue. But if almost everyone after 1year facing these issues, it seriously questions the quality.

Another thing to note here was they had launched this phone exclusively for India maybe with compromised quality.

Hope my phone lasts at least 2 Years

The care center people were saying that If i had extended my warranty by 1 year for Rs.1300/-.
They would've replaced the parts for free. I would recommend that to you. better to spend 1300 rather than 7000/-

I have been using Galaxy M30S (128 GB Variant) for 1 Year & 3 months. It was working fine for my needs.
Suddenly, 2 weeks back while removing from charging the phone was really hot and was stuck. I restarted it immediately.
But since that day It started restarting all of sudden in between. even during calls, it was restarting automatically.

When I have visited the store center, the store center people said that it's a motherboard problem & I need to replace it. The cost will be 7200/-
which is close to half of the original price.

But the issue is not faced by me alone. latest amazon reviews say the same.

Complaint about M30s Motherboard issue.

I have been a really huge Samsung fan till date. But this was really not expected from an esteemed brand like Samsung.

So, I decided to replace motherboard of the phone & given the phone to service center. Their service was good. They returned it in a day.

But My story doesn't end here. While replacing the motherboard the "professionals" forgot to put the fingerprint sensor. I had to run to the service center again to add the fingerprint center.

Thankfully they did not charged anything for that.
