Samsung launched the Galaxy J3 smartphone in India today. The device is priced at Rs 8,990 and will be exclusively available via Snapdeal, starting today. It will be available in gold, black and white color variants.

The device is specially designed for bikers and also introduces a new ‘Bike Mode’ for distraction free rides. When enabled the smartphone will automatically reply to calls with pre-recorded messages in 14 languages and riders can mark a few contacts as important, so that they can be notified even while riding.

In terms of specifications, the device sports a 5-inch HD Super AMOLED display. It is powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor and features 1.5 GB RAM. It comes equipped with an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front facing camera. The phone includes 16GB of internal storage, which is expandable upto 128GB through microSD card.

The new smartphone runs Android 5.1 Lollipop along with Samsung TouchWiz UI on top. Connectivity features include 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and microUSB. A 2600mAh battery completes the package.
