After being spotted on benchmarking sites, Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy A9 Pro has been spotted on TENAA. The certification reveals 4GB of RAM and Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.
Samsung’s yet to be official Galaxy S9 Pro has been leaked on numerous occasions in the past few weeks. After being spotted on Antutu and GFXBench databases, the smartphone has now been certified by China’s TENAA . The certification reveals its design and some of its key specifications including 4GB of RAM and Google’s latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS.
While the Galaxy A9 Pro seems to retain the metallic unibody design of the Galaxy A9 , it’s the internals that have been bumped. The photo released by TENAA also reveals the fingerprint scanner embedded within the home button.
Galaxy A9 Pro specifications and features: As per the TENAA listing, the smartphone flaunts a 6-inch full HD (1080p) Super AMOLED display. Under the hood is a 1.8GHz octa-core processor paired with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage. While the listing doesn’t reveal the processor name, past rumors point to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 652 chipset.
In the photography department, the smartphone comes with a 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and an 8-megapixel selfie camera. Armed with 4,000mAh battery, the smartphone comes with dual-SIM card slot, 4G LTE connectivity, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11n and GPS. On the software front, it runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS.
The Galaxy A9 Pro will be available in China in white, gold and black colored variants. It’s also rumored to sport an NFC port with support for Samsung Pay. While the smartphone hasn’t been announced yet, we’ll have to wait until Samsung makes it official.
