Samsung has announced that is has started mass production of Exynos 7 Quad 7570 processor that is based on 14nm FinFET process technology. It introduced Exynos 7 Octa 7870 14nm processor earlier this year for mid-range smartphones, the Exynos 7 Quad 7570 processor will be used in budget smartphones and IoT devices.

Samsung’s FinFET process technology enables system-on-chip (SOC) designers to reap all of the advantages for the latest energy-efficient processors: die-size reductions, faster frequencies, and lower power consumption, the company had said earlier.

It has integrate a Cat.4 LTE 2CA modem and connectivity solutions including WiFi, Bluetooth, frequency modulation (FM) and global navigation satellite system (GNSS) in one chip.

Samsung says that the processor will offer 70% improvement in CPU performance and 30% improvement in power efficiency when compared to its predecessor built on 28nm. The Exynos 7570 also reduces the total chipset size by up to 20% for slimmer smartphones.
