.Chandigarh, Jul 2 (PTI) A high level delegation of SAD-BJP combine led by Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal would meet state Governor and present a memorandum to pressurise the Centre to roll back hike in prices of petroleum products.
The delegation would meet the Governor on July 6 and submit a memorandum in the name of President of India, a statement released by SAD said today.
In the statement, SAD Secretary and Spokesman Daljit Singh Cheema said that decision to meet the Governor was taken in the joint meeting of the Core Committee of SAD-BJP held recently.
He said delegation led by Badal would also include Deputy Chief Minister and SAD President Sukhbir Singh Badal, BJP state unit President Ashwani Sharma besides all the Member of Parliament and MLAs of both the parties.
He said that a call for closure of shops, markets, shopping malls and other commercial establishments on July 4 up to 1.00 pm was already given by the combine.
