RE: SACHIN TENDULKAR will retire after 200th Test match

Don't worry Shawl Bro, BCCI will find the solution for the same. May be I feel 2015 World Cup will be his last international Commitment..... till that time he has 12 test to overcome Sachin's record (i.e. 2 PAK, 2 INDIA, 3 AUSTRALIA, 2 ZIM (Doubtful) and 3 WI's). to Score 2800 runs in 24 Max possible innings......

Jacques Kallis is abt 2800 runs short of Sachin. He is now 38 years old, and is physically fitter than a lot of others, plays all forms of cricket, and bowls too.
He can make it to any team, on his batting only.

this is actually a problem because more cricket means you are more prone to injuries and fitness issues.

If he plays, for 3 more years, and considering one can score 1000 runs in a calendar year, we may see Kallis going past Sachin by the age he is 41. :s

But, whether he'll play till that age, remains to be seen.

i dont think he will play beyond 2015 world cup. Until the 2015 WC SA will play 13 tests as per ICC FTP. He cant score 2700 in 13 tests.

incase he decides to continue, then until dec. 2016 SA will play 30 tests. which means Kallis has to score 90 runs per test. and whether he will play all matches is again a question.

But, now I have a worry. :sp

after reading this i think its not a worry anymore :P:P:P and one more thing the 13 tests include 3 tests vs India this year which is yet to be confirmed :lol

Well, I cant really comment on how much longer he'll play.

But, just going by the RSA's schedule, they'll play 22 test matches in next 2 years. ( Dec 2015 series is a home series against England)

South Africa Cricket Team Future Tour Programs (FTP) Schedule

Now, he avges. 56 in test cricket, but that includes 'not-outs' too.
Batting avg = no. of runs/no. of outs.

He has 40 not outs, 274 innings, so combining... his total innings are 304.
If we take a simple avg = no of runs/ no of innings
it will be = 13128/304 = approx. 44

This means he is scoring 44*2 = 88 runs in a test match anyhow ( closer to 90 which u said)

Now if he plays all these 22 tests, he gets 44 innings., so 44 * 44 = approx 2000 runs.
Which would only leave him 900 odd runs short of Tendulkar. :k

I know, all this is a speculation, and most important factors are:

1) His fitness ( which is gud, He dint played the SL series to give his body some rest, and coz of IPL, and bcoz now he wants to prolong his career)
2) His form ( if his forms dips, then all the avg. game goes haywire)

Wankhede stadium will be his 200th test match. Confirmed officially.

Eden Gardens in Kolkata and the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai will host India's two Tests against West Indies in November, which will mark the end of Sachin Tendulkar's 24-year career. While Eden Gardens will host the first Test from November 6 to 10, Tendulkar's farewell Test will be played at his home ground from November 14 to 18. The decision was taken during the BCCI's tour, programme and fixtures committee meeting in Mumbai on Tuesday.
