New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh Deputy CMO Dr Y S Sachan's mysterious death in Lucknow Jail has raised some serious questions about jail security. It has also brought jail authorities and Sachan's boss - Lucknow Chief Medical officer AK shukla - who is also accused in the NHRM funds embezzlement case - under the scanner.
Significantly Dr Sachan was to be questioned on Shukla's involvement in the fund misappropriation case a day after he died.
With a series of top medical experts concluding Dr YS Sachan's death couldnt have been a suicide, the Uttar Pradesh police's failure to question Lucknow Chief Medical Officer AK Shukla is raising disturbing questions.
Dr Shukla is a prime accused in the National Rural Health Mission funds embezzlement case and is Dr Sachan's boss. The police had registered a case against him on April 7, just two days after Sachan was arrested for the same charge.
