India’s wicket-keeper Wriddhiman Saha and middle-order batsman Rohit Sharma have made significant gains and climbed up latest ICC Test rankings for batsmen.

However, none of the Indians figure in the top-10 list.

'Keeper-batsman Saha's unbeaten knocks of 54 and 58, and Rohit's second-innings contribution of 82 not only enabled India to win the second match of the ongoing three-Test series against New Zealand and take an unassailable 2-0 lead but also helped them earn huge ranking points.

Saha moved up 18 rungs to the 56th spot, while Rohit has moved up 14 places to 38th position in the batsmen's list, which is headed by Australian captain Steve Smith.

India’s No 3 batsman, Cheteshwar Pujara climbed up a slot to 15th after scoring a total of 91 runs in the second Test, including a first innings knock of 87.

In the Test bowlers chart, India’s spin-twins, Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja, continued to stay in the top-10. While Ashwin fell one spot to 3rd, Jadeja gained a place to be at the 6th position, following his four wickets in the second Test at Kolkata.

India fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar's six wickets in the Kolkata Test, including a five for 48 in the first innings, saw him jump nine slots to reach the 26th place. His fellow pace bowler, Mohammad Shami's two three-wicket hauls saw him rise two places to 23rd position.
South Africa pacer Dale Steyn has retained his number one position as a Test bowler.
