Reliance Jio has halted plans to launch its own express home delivery service of mobile SIM cards, after the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) recently barred a similar offering by the Bharti Airtel-Blinkit combine on grounds of national security.

Reliance Jio: Last month, Airtel had partnered with quick commerce firm Blinkit to offer express delivery of mobile SIM cards to homes in just 10 minutes. Airtel customers were being charged a Rs 49 convenience fee for the premium service.
