RE: Jio at your doorstep

This seems to be for Corporate connections. I had already got a call from jio executive 2 months back, before official launch for corporate connections. Minimum applicant requirement is just 10, here in Agra.

RE: Jio at your doorstep

Yes. As mentioned minimum 40 applicants needed. So need to collect your neighbours and friends too.

Reliance Jio SIM card home delivery starts in select cities: Report

As the Jio Welcome Offer approaches its deadline, Reliance Jio has started offering doorstep delivery of 4G SIMs to lure more customers. The high-speed 4G network was commercially launched in India in September and pilot of the new home delivery service started last month. The service has now been reportedly expanded to New Delhi and other major cities. It is further expected that the home delivery service will be made available in few more cities in the coming weeks. BGR India has reached out to Reliance Jio for more details on its new service.

The home delivery service of the Reliance Jio SIMs has been activated in major cities including Delhi/NCR, Mumbai, and Bengaluru, International Business Times reports. If users visit the Reliance Jio website, they will be automatically shown a pop-up notification about the home delivery service. However, not all users are expected to receive such a notification, because according to the report, it will be based on IP address.

In order to register for the home delivery of Reliance Jio SIM, you need to first to the Reliance Jio website and fill in your details. Once you are registered, a Reliance Jio executive will arrive at the doorstep with eKYC device. You will be required to install MyJio Apps on your 4G VoLTE-enabled smartphone to generate a Jio Welcome Offer code. The official will further ask you for your Aadhaar Card details and take fingerprint details to complete the process. Once you submit the Jio Welcome Offer code, your SIM will be activated in 15 minutes.

Reliance Jio , with data and talktime plans as cheap as Rs 19 for prepaid users and Rs 149 for postpaid users, has had a big impact in the Indian telecom market and shaken up incumbent players including Airtel and Vodafone. Reliance Jio promises not only wider coverage, owing to the recent purchase of broader spectrum, but also affordable plans which consumers in India have positively responded to. The latest roll out of offering Jio SIMs at consumers’ doorstep is another effort of the company to grab as many consumers as possible before December 3, 2016, when the company will stop offering its free voice and data services to new users.

Under the Jio Welcome Offer, users are offered free voice and video calling, unlimited SMS, and unlimited 4G data. When the service was launched, Reliance said that it will keep the service free till December 31. However, in a recent announcement, the company explained that while existing users will continue to enjoy the free benefits till the said date, new users who subscribe to the network after December 3 will not be able to avail the free voice and data services.

The Mukesh Ambani-led company is also planning to launch a new DTH service, dubbed JioTV, in the next month. The purported service is expected to go live on December 15 and is expected to be free of charge for the first six months of subscription. The Reliance JioTV service is rumored to be provided via GigaFibre broadband project which is based on the use of optical fibre technology. It comes with 1 Gbps internet and a range of Jio VAS including 360 channels, which will include 50 channels in HD. Media reports have also hinted that the subscription package will come with a set-top-box along with an option to have an Android smartbox or Apple TV to help users control content and also play games. One needs to take this information with a pinch of salt as we are yet to hear any official announcement about JioTV.
