Reliance Digital is gradually increasing its portfolio of LYF branded smartphones, and the latest smartphone is part of its Wind series. Called the Wind 2 , the smartphone is a priced at Rs 8,299, and it will be available in gold color options. The Wind 2 joins the likes of LYF Wind 1, LYF Wind 5, LYF Wind 4, and the LYF Wind 6. While the 4G VoLTE remains the main USP of the LYF Wind 2, it is also the first smartphone in the LYF portfolio to offer a large 6-inch display.
Along with a 6-inch display, the smartphone comes with a metallic frame along with a curved glass finish. The company has packed the smartphone with BesLoudness, which is supposed to help enhance the audio performance of the smartphone.
LYF Wind 2 specifications
The LYF Wind 2 sports a 6-inch IPS display with HD (1280×720 pixels) resolution. The smartphone is powered by a 1GHz MediaTek 6735M quad-core processor along with 2GB of RAM. Also on offer is 16GB of internal storage that can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card.
On the camera front, the smartphone comes with an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, and 1080p video recording capabilities. Up front, there is a 2-megapixel camera with beauty mode and face detection. With a ‘continuous shot’ feature, users can click 99 photos at once. Other features include- image enhancer mode, multi-angle viewing mode, and time lapse video mode.
The smartphone comes with a 2,850mAh battery, and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop and comes with dual-SIM dual standby support (4G+2G).
The Wind 2 will support connectivity options like 4G LTE with VoLTE and VoWiFi, Wi-Fi, OTG support, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and a microUSB 2.0 port. While these days most smartphones in this segment offer 4G connectivity, the LYF Wind 2 offers you VoLTE support as well. The smartphone will compete with the likes of the Micromax Canvas Mega 2 and Coolpad Note 3 Plus .
