Reliance Digital has expanded its budget smartphone portfolio with another launch. What is believed to be the affordable variant of the recently launched LYF F1 Plus, the company has launched the LYF F1s smartphone. Priced at Rs 9,599, the smartphone comes bundled with Reliance Jio’s Happy New Year offer that provides unlimited voice calls and data until March 31, 2017. Additionally, for the one’s who make payment for the phone through Jio Money, they will be eligible for a Rs 500 cashback on the purchase of LYF F1s.

Reliance Digital LYF F1s specifications and features

The LYF F1s features a 5.2-inch full HD display (1920 x 1080 pixels) with 423ppi and a 2.5D curved glass. The smartphone’s display is powered by Incell technology, which the company claims ensures low battery consumption. Additionally, the display is protected by Corning Concore Glass, which makes it scratch resistant.

The smartphone runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 chipset, with an eight-core CPU (1.8GHz + 1.4GHz). The processor is accompanied by Adreno 510 GPU and 3GB of RAM. The LYF F1s comes with 32GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 128GB using a microSD card.

On the photography front, the smartphone features a 16-megapixel rear camera with Auto Focus, 8x digital zoom, Auto Frame Rate, Red Eye Reduction, Video HDR supported in code Chroma Flash, OptiZoom, UbiFocus (MultiFocus). On the other hand, on the front, the smartphone features a 5-megapixel camera, with fixed focus, 8x digital zoom and an LED Flash. Both front and back camera also support 4K UHD video recording.

In addition to that, the LYF F1s is fuelled by a 3,000mAh battery, which according to the company offers 11.5 hours of talk time on 4G, up to 8 Hours of video playback. 21 hours of audio playback, and 320 hours of standby time.
Other connectivity options of the smartphone include, 4G LTE, GPRS, EDGE, VoLTE (HD Voice Call ), WiFi Calling, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/a/ac, Bluetooth V4.1 LE, GPS, USB Port, TYPE C + USB 2.0. The smartphone comes with other additional features like Accelerometer, Proximity Sensor, Gyroscope, E-Compass, Ambient Light Sensor, Hall Sensor, and motion and gestures controls.

Like aforementioned, the LYF F1s is the affordable variant of the LYF F1 Plus, which was launched back in October. Launched at Rs 13,399, the LYF F1 Plus features a 5.5-inch 1080p display, powered by 1.6GHz Samsung Exynos octa-core processor with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, and a microSD card. For photography enthusiasts there is a 16-megapixel rear camera with PDAF and EIS support, while up front, there is an 8-megapixel selfie camera. There is also a 3,200mAh battery, and connectivity options like dual-SIM card slots, 4G with VoLTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth V4.1, OTG, and GPS.

Considering the price tag and specifications, the LYF F1s will lock horns with popular budget Android smartphones like the Xiaomi Redmi 3s Prime, Redmi Note 3 and Lenovo K6 Power.

The Xiaomi Redmi 3s Prime , priced at Rs 8,999, features a 5-inch HD display, and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz. It is equipped with 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage, which expandable up to 128GB using a microSD card. It is backed by a 4,100mAh battery. In the photography department, the smartphone sports a 13-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front cameras. The connectivity options available are dual-SIM support (hybrid setup), 4G LTE support, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS.

Also, competes with the LYF F1s is the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 , which features a full-metal unibody design, as well as a fingerprint scanner. It flaunts a 5.5-inch 1080p display, and is powered by the Snapdragon 650 chipset. There are two variants of the phablet — 16GB storage variant with 2GB of RAM, and 32GB storage variant with 3GB of RAM. The Redmi Note 3 also features a 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and PDAF, 5-megapixel selfie camera, 4,050mAh battery and connectivity options like dual-SIM card slots, and 4G LTE support. On the software front, it runs on Android Lollipop-based MIUI 7. The smartphone is priced at Rs 9,999.

The Lenovo K6 Power will also stand head on with smartphone, which is priced at Rs 9,999. The smartphone sports a 5-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels) display with pixel density of 441ppi with 450-nit brightness, and 178-degree viewing angles. It runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow-based Vibe UI and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor paired with Adreno 505 GPU and 3GB of RAM. The smartphone comes with 32GB of onboard storage and a microSD card slot for additional storage.

For photography, the K6 Power is equipped with a 13-megapixel Sony IMX258 sensor camera with LED flash, Pro-mode, PDAF support, slow motion and time lapse. For selfies, it has an 8-megapixel Sony IMX219 camera and can shoot up to 1080p videos. Connectivity options include dual-SIM support, 4G with VoLTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11n, USB OTG support, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. The smartphone supports dual app feature which will basically let you run dual WhatsApp accounts among other apps like hike or Google Play Store.

Reliance launches AJIO exclusive F1S smartphone at Rs 10,099

Reliance Retail has expanded its Lyf brand of smartphones with the launch of the VoLTE-ready Lyf F1S , which is priced at Rs. 10,099, and is available to buy online via AJIO .com in Black, Gold, and Grey colour variants.

The device reportedly comes with a Rs 500 JioMoney Cashback.

The latest smartphone comes with Reliance Jio 's Happy New Year Offer.

The dual-SIM (Nano-SIM) Lyf F1S smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and features a 5.2-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) IPS display with Corning Concore Glass 3 and a pixel density of 423ppi.

Reliance Retail also lauched Water 3 smartphone, priced at Rs 6,599. Recently, the company had also launched the Wind 7S that supports 4G VoLTE, a successor to the Wind 7 that runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and supports dual-SIM.
