After launching the LYF Flame 6 earlier this month, Reliance Digital has now launched LYF Flame 5. Surprisingly, the new smartphone too is priced at Rs 3,999, which is the same as the other three Flame smartphones. Just like all the other LYF devices, the Flame 5 too supports 4G with VoLTE, which is among the highlights of the smartphone. The LYF Flame 5 will be available via Reliance’s offline stores such as Reliance Digital and Digital Xpress.
Reliance Digital has launched six smartphones in the ‘Flame’ series till date. All smartphones in this series are priced below Rs 5,000, except the Flame 1, which is priced at Rs 5,599.
LYF Flame 5 specifications, features:
The smartphone flaunts a 4-inch WVGA display with 233ppi and capacitive touchscreen with Asahi glass protection. The device is powered by 1.5GHz quad-core processor paired with 512MB of RAM. Also on offer is 4GB of internal memory, which is further expandable up to 32GB.
On the camera front, the smartphone sports a 5-megapixel auto-focus rear camera with LED flash along with a 2-megapixel selfie camera. The camera supports 720p video recording, and also comes with features like HDR, panorama, face detection, smile shutter, and slow-mo among others.
On the connectivity front, apart from 4G and VoLTE the smartphone supports dual-SIM (4G+4G), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and USB connectivity. The device is equipped with 1,650mAh battery, which the company claims is good enough for up to 4.5 hours of talktime and a standby time of up to 150 hours. On the software front, the smartphone runs Android 5.1 Lollipop.
Despite 4G VoLTE support, the new LYF Flame 5 also falls short as far as other specifications and features are concerned. At this price point, buyers can also choose from devices like the Intex Cloud Fame, Phicomm Clue 630 and Micromax Canvas Spark 2 Plus. These devices offer better features like 1GB RAM, 8GB internal storage, over 2,000mAh battery, and the Canvas Spark 2 Plus runs on Android Marshmallow.
