My realme2 phone screen does not light up when there is an incoming call. Phone will ring, but display is dark, need to push the power key to turn the screen on, this will sometimes reject the incoming calls.

Their is a proximity sensor which controls this, in your case that could be either covered by something (could be your screen protector if you haven't applied it properly) or sensor may have been defective. Proximity Sensor test apps are available on play store to check it

Now after seeing this i agree with bapun raz bro that brands intentionally slow old phones to force people to upgrade to there latest smartphone...i fully agree to this now

It's true that's why users unlock bootloader and flash custom ROMs to continue getting highest performance with latest software
