Rashi Peripherals has expanded its distribution relations with Lenovo and will now distribute the entire range of ThinkPad notebooks.

Last August, Rashi had signed a national distribution pact with Lenovo to distribute Lenovo’s AMD-based commercial desktops and the high-end TNx series of ThinkPads.
Rajesh Goenka, Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Rashi said, “From the past one month we have started shipping the entire range of ThinkPads that include the S, L, Edge and the TNx product lines. We are passionate about the ThinkPad brand as Rashi started its business two decades ago by selling ThinkPads when it was part of the IBM portfolio.”

Along with Lenovo, Rashi has started channel development and marketing activities especially in tier-2 and tier-3 cities to engage with corporate resellers and SMB customers. “Our focus will be to work closely with partners in developing demand for the entire Think Pad series in Class B and C cities. Lenovo already has an established partner base in the Class A cities,” added Goenka.

Rashi, which recorded a turnover of Rs 1,090 crore in FY2010-11, is expecting to grow at 30 percent this year. The company has identified the notebook category as a high growth area and plans to expand relations with its existing vendors and also strike new alliances on this front.

This fiscal Rashi also plans to add 10 new branches, taking its direct reach to 65 locations.
