Yesterday I purchased "Microware HDMI to HDMI+SPDIF+3.5m stereo Splitter" at Rs.3299/- from Amazon. I needed this for use of my Fire TV stick. My Philips tv has no optical out but my Philips HT had optical in. I was not able to get 5.1 ch. Audio from my fire tv stick connected to tv. Now this solved my problem.
After connecting the device I played 5.1ch demo videos from YouTube and the quality is amazing.
Ports:
5v DC Power in
HDMI in
HDMI Out
Optical out
Pros
Supports 5.1 ch.audio
Supports 4K
Supports Dolby Digital, LPCM
No loss in picture quality.
Perfect audio and video sync.
Cons.
The Size is too small. In fact it fits into palm. The space between power input port and HDMI In Port is too narrow that I faced difficulty in inserting fire tv stick.
The product came with a micro USB cable but no charger.
Over all it is good product considering the performance and price.

This only supports 4k 30 hz Input, so basically its only hdmi 1.4b not even hdmi 2.0. So actually its degrading Fire tv 4k resolution. Also I didn't see any mention in spec for hdcp 2.2 which is required for some content in 4k to play
Please let me know by user's experience if I am wrong

I purchased it mainly to get 5.1 ch output using fire stick as my TV has no OPTICAL/ARC out. Though my fire stick is 4K, my tv is not a 4K one (Philips FHD 40 inches which I want to replace with 4K in future). There is no loss of picture quality if I connect it directly to the TV or to the splitter. I am getting a good 5.1 ch.effects that served my purpose.
