.New Delhi, Jun 17 (PTI) Young Indian tennis player Prerna Bhambri suffered a straight-set defeat at the hands of Chinese Zhaoxuan Yang in the semifinals of the USD 10,000 ITF women''s tennis tournament here today.
The Eight-seeded Indian failed to raise her game and was thoroughly outplayed 1-6 1-6 by unseeded Zhaoxuan at the DLTA complex here.
The 18-year-old Delhi girl had defeated fourth-seeded Ashvarya Shrivastava in the quarterfinals yesterday.
In another semifinal, sixth seeded Hae-Sung Kim of Korea defeated third seeded Nadia Abdala of Mexico 4-6 7-5 6-4.
The final clash will be between Hae-Sung and Zhaoxuan tomorrow.
