Sony has just announced at its TGS conference that it plans to launch its much awaited PlayStation Mobile service on 3rd October. The service aims to bring content like PlayStation One games and exclusive new IPs to your mobile phone. Sony is also pushing a brand new PlayStation Mobile SDK to developers for $99.99 annually. The SDK will be available in November.

The service is a spiritual successor to the PlayStation Suite launched earlier on the Xperia Play. This time around, Sony is adding hardware partners like Fujitsu and Sharp. Over 30 games will be available for download on launch date. Initial roll out will include Japan, United States, Canada, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Australia.
