Breaking Pampers First Smart Diapers

Pampers on Thursday announced new "connected care system" called Lumi that tracks babies' activity through a sensor that attaches to diapers.

Diaper sends an alert as app notification when a diaper is wet. It also sends information about baby's sleep and wake times and allows parents to manually track additional info, like dirty diapers and feeding times.

A WiFi-connected 1080p wide-angle HD video monitor is included with the system which have night vision, can track temperature & humidity of room and is integrated into the app.

Price have not been revealed but it will be launched this fall in US.

Won't the sensor be damaged by the baby's production?

That aside, it is an innovative idea that makes bringing up a newborn all that much easier.
