Pakistan will tour West Indies to play two Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is), three Tests and three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) in April-May, the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) announced. It will be Pakistan’s first tour of West Indies since 2013, when the tourists went on to claim the five-match ODI series 3-1 and won both the T20Is.
According to the ESPNcricinfo, the series starts from March 31, with two T20Is to be played at Queen’s Park Oval in Trinidad and Tobago. Pakistan will then travel to Guyana for all three ODIs on April 7, 9 and 11, respectively.
Meanwhile, Pakistan then are also slated to play a three-day practice match at Trelawny in Jamaica, starting on April 15 before the first of three Tests commences at Sabina Park on April 22.
Last year, Pakistan had whitewashed West Indies 3-0 in both T20Is and ODIs in the United Arab Emirates. They also defeated the tourists 2-1 in the Test series.
Pakistan are currently ranked eighth in the International Cricket Council's (ICC) ODI rankings with 89 points, while West Indies are just three points behind them with 86 points. Only top eight teams at the deadline date of September 1, 2017 are guaranteed an automatic berth for the ICC World Cup in 2019. West Indies to host Pakistan from March to May.
