Padma Awards 2018 Announced. The awards — Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri — are announced on the eve of the Republic Day every year.
The Centre on Thursday announced the list of this year’s Padma awardees. The Padma awards, which is presented every year, seeks to recognise works of distinction and exceptional achievements in different fields.

Eighty-five personalities conferred with Padma. Three Padma Vibhushan, nine Padma Bhushan, 73 Padma SHRI. Among them 16 are NRIs, PIO. Last year 89 persons were awarded Padma: MHA
