As the deadline for the Supreme Court verdict on the politically sensitive Ram Jamnabhoomi land dispute case nears, Ayodhya witnessed vibrant and extravagant Diwali alias ‘Deepotsav’ celebrations on Saturday, 26 October.

In an attempt to make a world record, over 5. 50 lakh people are lighting up earthen lamps as part of the celebrations.

Very tasteless article by Quint. We didn't actually had to bring Ayodhya verdict here or politicise it by bringing the cost of the event knowing the current state of economy. Sometime it is easy to chill and be proud of country's accomplishments. Specially during festivities where communities comes together.
