Cable TV and broadband service provider Ortel Communications has launched 1 TB (1024GB) data plan on the DOCSIS 3.0 platform at a mega speed of 100 Mbps.

The plan, targeted at heavy data consumers, is priced at Rs 4,999. Customers opting for the 1 TB plan will also get digital TV services free as a complimentary offer.

Ortel has upgraded its minimum broadband speed to 1 Mbps by withdrawing all its data plans below 1 Mbps speed.

BSNL first to upgrade to min 2Mbps (after FUP min 1Mbps).
Now they are trying for min 4Mbps plans (after FUP not known yet, but 1 or more)

Only problem with all ADSL2+ connections is max upload speed is 1Mbps. (Line bonding - 2Mbps at max).
