The long-awaited Android Marshmallow update for OnePlus One has now reached its final testing stage. OnePlus co-founder and CEO Carl Pei took it to Twitter to announce the news. While Pei didn’t mention any exact release date, he did mention that it could be released ‘very soon.’
Marshmallow for the One is in the final testing stage. Can’t give ETA as it depends on other parties, but should be very soon.

In November last year, the company had announced Android Marshmallow update for the OnePlus One, OnePlus 2 and the OnePlus X . For those who own OnePlus 2, Oxygen OS 3.0 based on Android Marshmallow has reached the beta stage and it’s available to download from here .
However, being in beta, it does come along with a few bugs, and is only for those who want to try out without waiting for the official rollout.
The Android Marshmallow update brings a host of new features such as Google Now on Tap, Doze mode to extend the battery life, app permissions to offer greater control over the information that you share with apps, and much more.
OnePlus’ customized OxygenOS 3.0 is set to feature a cleaner user interface, improvements in Shelf UX and updated camera app with easy access to different settings and manual settings. It will also include the latest Android security patches as a part of the update.
The self-proclaimed flagship killer, OnePlus One was launched in India in December 2014 for Rs 21,999. After the launch of OnePlus 2, the original OnePlus One got a price cut and can now be purchased for Rs 19,999 without any invites.
