NEW DELHI: Shutterbugs rejoice! It's not everyday that you see two high-end DSLR cameras getting launched on the same day.

Nikon on Wednesday announced that the D4, the company's top end offering for professional photographers, and D800, a FX-format camera aimed at prosumers, are now available in India.

D4, which replaces D3S, has been priced at Rs 3,24,950 while D800 will sell for Rs 149,950. The company also announced D800E, which offers slightly better image processing over D800 for studio work. D800E will be sold for Rs 164,950.

D4 comes with a new 16.2-megapixel FX-format CMOS sensor and Nikon's EXPEED 3-image processing engine. It offers 51-point AF system and can shoot up to 10 frames per second (fps). Nikon claims that with D4, photographers will be able to shoot in even the most challenging environments and lighting conditions with the assistance of its new 91,000-pixel 3D color matrix meter.

It offers an ISO range from 100 to 204,800.

D800 offers a 36.3-million pixels sensor as well as a variety of other features aimed at prosumers and professionals. The camera replaces D700 in Nikon's line-up of DSLRs.
