Definitely number of people using digital payments has increased a lot but there are still many who are depending on cash. Also people are not depositing any money into banks as it is difficult to withdraw it later.
Also looks like people are withdrawing money in advance even if they need cash later as they no longer trust banks in terms of cash availability.

May be peoples are buying gold on akshaya trutiya. Most of local jewellers won't accept card.
